Have you ever went to sleep and during the night found yourself in the middle of an erotic dream ?

Ever wonder what impact our thoughts and experiences during the day have upon our dreams ? This article will try to explore common ideas about dreams and what some of these may or may NOT mean to you.

For most of us sleeping and dreaming go hand in hand, if you sleep the chances are you will dream. Whether you have spent the day enjoying yourself during a relaxing vacation or just put another grueling 12 hours in at your job could have a significant impact upon the way you sleep but does this also affect the way you dream?

Numerous factors affect our ability to fall asleep, stay asleep and maintain restorative sleep. 

Alcohol and caffeine consumption, exercise, stress, chronic and even acute pain, or other medical conditions such as RLS (restless leg syndrome) have been shown to significantly impact sleep. But these same effects upon dreams are less proven.

Dream theorists have differing stances on the causes and factors, not only for why we dream but how these should be/ are interpreted. Since there is essentially no way to prove, with any certainty, which theory is correct, having an overview of what each theorist's stance is, may make your search for answers more enlightening and something you personally are able to live with.

Possible well known names in this field (Freud, Alfred Adler, Carl Jung) can be searched on any search engine and will provide ideas and theories. Since these will often differ greatly in scope, the best suggestion is to read a few differing concepts and see which fit best for you personally. 

The nice thing about having sex in dreams is that most often we have an enjoyable experience. As such most people have such dreams and never do consider the reasons associated with why such dreams are recurring. However, having "nightmares" about being forced to submit to practices or desires that differ from our waking lives can create a fear of sleep or emotional discord. Thus this practice of exploring our dreams is not completely based upon supposition, nor is it always simply fun and entertaining.

Having answered this as "professionally" LOL as I am able I will comment personally and say- We all have had a dream of having sex. For me it means it has been awhile since I satisfied this physical need. The same would be true were I to realize I awoke aroused on repeated occasions. Just me, but I think your mind/body are sending you the message - "HELLO ! SEX IS FUN !" 

Just be safe everyone and enjoy that we do dream such things. If these have been great and there is no associated guilt or remorse, heck my advice is take several naps a day...LOL Happy Dreams !

On a side note for the pet lovers out there. There IS such a thing a FELINE AIDS. Sam is my friend, has been for the last 10 years. Losing him to something like that would be like losing a child almost.
